Even though an older game, it's a visual and aural delight. The music offers a calm playing feel, but be surprised to encounter a few ghosts. A highly recommended hidden object game.

Although it´s from 2012, it still holds on to date and is even better than most similar games of today.
It´s 16:9 adapted, so don´t worry about the 4:3-ratio screenshots seen here.
There are a lot of nicely done cutscenes that give a real athmosphere.
As well the basic story is better than in most HO-games - that is, it is a real story instead of what is common in the genre in many games.
There are more classical adventure elements, like inventory-stuff and a good bunch of different minigames.
You already have a map with quick-travel that highlights the areas where something is to be done.

Even for the full price it is worth it (given you like such games) cause you will get great value in playtime and a game that is far better made in all aspects than most newer HO-games.

Glitches: had trouble getting it to fit my screen; had to redo every time I opened the game
Final words: enjoyable challenging game, worth the on-sale bundle price for it alone

There are many hidden object scenes, which I like. The games are not too difficult (perhaps a bit too simple at times, but cest la vie). Good story. The side stories are a bit silly, but similar to old style campfire stories that we all told as kids. Entertaining.

Recommended if you don't mind a slightly dated, but well made HOG. I enjoyed my experience with this game. Its the first of the series of four and has some good things going for it. The overall presentation is decent with an interesting paranormal story and smooth casual gameplay. The bonus chapter was a nice addition too. As for downsides, the graphics, animations and cut scenes aren't bad, but they are starting to age a bit. There is a bit of backtracking too, but the fast travel map helps ease that burden. All in all, for the length and price, this should be a good experience if you enjoy hidden object games.

YES! This is a VERY FUN Puzzle/Hidden Object game! There wasn't a single boring moment! The graphics and the sounds and the music and the visuals all combine together to engross you in the story and to enjoy the game play! Everything is so well designed/drawn and it allows you to play two modes: Casual or Expert. There are also super well hidden items too, for a bonus fun!

You get to follow a character and uncover the supernatural mysteries and feel good about yourself for solving those puzzles! Don't worry, if you are really not capable of solving a puzzle or two, there is a "Skip" button. Also, usually you have to find "the difference between pictures", this game has "find the similarities!" I just really liked that for some reason.

The story line... well there is the main one, different world ones and a bonus story. They are all great. Well... they are kinda dark, but I mean the world is full of darkness as well as light.

Alrighty then! You are obviously here because your interest was piqued by the visuals or you like H.O.G. or you just want something different to play... well here goes: Play it if you like. Your opinion is the one that matters. Thank you for the wonderful game!

House of 1000 doors is a great relaxing game series and it is very good for the brain, I would recommend it to all who want to improve their brain power, It has worked for me.

Still quite good HOG even though it is a little dated with release date 2012. Interesting long story, easy puzzles, still quite good graphics on a higher level. It is easy to uderstand how to follow the story. The game is older but originally made very well on a higher level. Items are easy but they are sometimes smaller or hidden in dark parts of the screen. Colours are grey. I know it is spooky story but colours of HOS are not balanced. It is typical for older games. My recomendation is yes. It is older game but its content still works.
