This was one of the first Hidden Object games I had ever played and it's definitely a great game to play. To me, this seems like a Victorian-era setting with, of course, fantasy elements, though I think this was done very well.

The story is very linear, and it makes a lot of sense from start to finish. There are the notes from your fiance that keep you grounded in the events going on from his perspective, and he keeps reiterating how much he loves you and wants your input. It's very clear that someone was purposefully trying to keep his notes from you, in the beginning it seemed malicious but you come to find out it was for your own safety. The monsters in it were definitely unique and horrifying. The goblin in the tree and in the cage were definitely the most frightening creatures, and the Demon definitely shared a lot of features with them to help immerse the player in the idea that hell and the real world were combining. The man that essentially started it all wasn't really an evil man either. He was just a heartbroken man that couldn't accept your death and was willing to do anything to get you back. There are some points where the characters aren't redeemable, but in this case, he realized that you weren't safe and what he had done was wrong, and I honestly was very happy that everyone got a happy ending in the end.

Overall a very good game, even though I would have liked maybe a bit more descriptions on everything to try and help figure out what I needed to do. Would absolutely recommend playing it.

First off this is NOT a hidden object game. Not in the slightest. There is only one scene which is even remotely similar to HO games and you just have to click on 9 rocks. Instead this game is an extremely shallow point&click adventure game. It looks nice and plays well, but that's about it. Like I said, no HO scenes and very few typical puzzles. Mostly it is "find symbol, put symbol in slot. Done". Most items are near or in the current location. Not worth full price!

Cursed isn't really what I'd call a HOG (there are zero Hidden Object scenes in the whole game) it's much more of a Point & Click adventure where you find objects you need for different puzzles. It makes the gameplay kind of repetitive, but it isn't particularly bad.

The art is rather pretty although the animations are kind of bad, but I've definitely heard worse voice acting. Playing through Cursed is kind of like playing through a solid B-rated Horror flick: you have to roll your eyes at some of it and just enjoy it for what it is.

That said, it's cheap enough to justify buying and playing through it, and as long as you go in with low expectations, you might be pleasantly surprised.
