I wasn't sure if I would like this game, but I do. Once you start it, you just keep going until you finish it. I enjoy games like this. If you get stuck and fustrated look on the internet for a walkthrough. Do this only if you can't figure it out.

The Good
- Decent graphics and interesting scenes
- Interesting story background
- Decent soundscape
- Great hidden object scenes where you are actually putting together an object you will use instead of searching for a bunch of random ridiculous things that have nothing to do with the story.

The NotSoGood
- Multiple taps sometimes needed to perform actions
- Hint button sometimes did not work

My real issue is that this game quickly degenerated into an endless series of busywork tasks where you are literally running around in circles in the same scene forever. I quit playing about halfway through when I realized I had forgotten what the quest actually was. I am a big fan of Alawar and this just doesn't measure up. It is great game for kids but I was bored to tears.

This is a different sort of hidden object game in that it's more like a children's fairy tale, but done in a fun house mirror. The characters are quirky and odd, some are inanimate objects, such as a stove or cash register. I didn't care for the game when I started, but it did grow on me (and since I paid for it, I wasn't going to quit).

Navigation is by arrows which point in all available directions of travel, there is no map. The hidden object searches are done by silhouette, you find all the pieces and they go together to form one useful object which goes in your inventory. There is a journal, which lists all your "tasks", and a hint button, but it wasn't very helpful. The game is not too difficult, but definitely requires some thought, as there is no strategy guide and the hint only points you in the right direction but doesn't tell you what to do or how to accomplish the tasks. The graphics are cartoon-like, but rich. The music drove me nuts and I had to mute it.

Inventory items sometimes did not work on the first try, the hint button didn't always work, and accessing close up scenes can be slow. I encountered a big glitch which wouldn't allow me to go further and I had to re-start from the beginning. This involved cutting a slice of cheese from a wheel with a knife. Do this BEFORE you cut the sack of hay, or the knife will disappear from your inventory permanently, and you will not be able to proceed. Also, when I opened the game it was upside down and I had to restart to get it right side up. FYI - regarding the inventory banner across the bottom of the screen - you can hide it so it does not block your view.

Overall, this is an lighthearted game of good length. I enjoyed it more as I played. If you're looking for something fun and family-friendly, this is a good choice.
