Beyond just the nostalgia I have for the title, this is, even now, a legitimately good old-school platformer that's certain to appeal to anyone looking for a fun, lengthy and surprisingly challenging platformer. There's a nice variety of stages and levels, I love the 2.5D aesthetic, and the switching between day and night - it's very easy on the eyes and this sort of graphic style appeals to me very much, very Trine-y. I did notice that some secret areas weren't so secret and once you finish the level, you can see Tibor just run into a wall and keep running, which I assume is the aftermath of widening the game to widescreen/full HD, but these are very minor nitpicks. Lovely to see it restored with care, in any case!

After having finished Tibor, I can say I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of vampire films I grew up with like The Little Vampire. I loved the Gothic Vibe, it reminded me of Ruby Gloom, The Addams Family and Casper. The graphics reminded me of a PS2 game in a good way. The platforming is good and the level design is well made.

Overall Tibor: Tale of A Kind Vampire is a really good platforming game not as mainstream as a 2D Mario game or a 2D Sonic game but if you have any interest in 2D/2.5D platformers I recommend giving it a try.

This game literally took me back to my childhood. I cannot describe the feeling when I saw the reddit post that said that this game is finally making a comeback. Rating it 5/5, even my dad who's 50+ said he would love to play it again. Big thank you for the developers!
