Letters from Nowhere

Your husband is missing and you're being sent letters from the great beyond!
Note: This is part one of two, it won't conclude until the second game.
I rather enjoyed this considering it was released in 2010. I do highly suggest some strong reading glasses if you're up in years like me, because the items are pretty small. I enjoyed the unusual story line and the stamp collection rewards. The camera, thermometer and palette were also fun helpers. You can play until the end and if you've found enough stamps (50), you can play beat the clock in timed mode for more rewards.

I enjoy strictly hidden object games - just find the objects listed. I also enjoy these games that include mini games. So, since it is often hard to find these types of games, I am enjoying playing this one. However, many of the scenes have very dark areas or areas where the art is dark and it is very hard to distinguish what objects in those areas are. Be nice to have a little flashlight tool to use in those scenes. I don't know what country this game was developed in, but I also found that some items did not match the description. For example, the object to find was "lamp" and what the object actually was, was a single light bulb lying in a box. The other thing I do not like is that for items where you have to combine two objects that act together, the hint only will show you one of the items, even if it is the last item left to find. Every time you ask for a hint, it continues to show you only one - and the same - part of the two part puzzle, So, if you can't find the other part, you are going to be stuck on that level until you do. 

I enjoyed playing this game. It's mostly hidden objects, with a few mini games thrown in here and there. In most of the scenes you can also look for 3 stamps. If you find enough of them the unlimited version of the game is open for playing. If you find all of the stamps, you get an award. You also get awards for various other reasons throughout the game. The story line is interesting, with Audrey looking for her missing husband. She is helped by the ghost of a mailman who leaves letters all over for her to find. One downside to the game is that many of the objects are very difficult to find. Some of the scenes are very cluttered or dark. The help button recharges quickly though so you can use it to locate objects. The biggest downside to the game is that the story does not end. If you want to find out what happens you need to download the next game, part 2. I don't think this is fair and gave the game a lower rating for that reason. I do recommend the game as long as you can deal with a couple of the downsides. 

Ok game. Many of the items are too small to find without putting your face on the screen. The two-part items are left to your own ingenuity - no help there. The "help" items are vague and the all over feeling left me frustrated. Glad it was free.

I really like this game, and have completed all of Letters Fr om Nowhere 2, but I am absolutely stuck. Wh ere in the heck is the coin in Episode 5, Workroom 1 that has to go in the piggy bank? I've been looking for a few hours and CANNOT find it!
