Not everything is tranquil in the kingdom… The beloved son of king of Griffinvale went against his father’s wishes and married a low-class girl. The king decided to break up this marriage and sent his heir on a crusade, and then he drove his pregnant daughter-in-law out of the palace. But he could not even realize the consequences of his decision.

The news about the prince’s death hit the king pretty hard, and his subjects made up their mind to take advantage of this situation and get rid of the ruler, accusing the royal knights, loyal to the crown, of killing him. But both brothers Edmund and Randall Ulmer are not going to put up with it. In order to redeem their good name, they need to pass tests for ingenuity, concentration, strength and speed. Besides they have to solve the main royal mystery — the fate of the heir, who was born by the prince’s wife after she had been expelled from the kingdom.

You will be fighting for the throne. The plotters are ready to do everything possible to achieve the desired goals and you will have to defend the crown! Help two brave knights find their way through the maze of intricacies and intrigues of the royal court. Solve puzzles with ancient artifacts, complete your tasks, and repair sophisticated mechanisms. Don’t worry, you will have a chance to take up the sword.

I enjoyed this game. Although I may try it on a harder setting next time I play it .

King's Heir finds you and your brother escorting the king back to his castle when you are ambushed and the king is killed. Unfortunately, you are framed for the murder of the king and you must find a way to redeem your name and find the next true king.

The game takes on a bit of a different approach to hidden object for some of the scenes. Sometimes it only gives you some items and then a new list pops up, and other times it offers a lot of puzzle solving moments within a hidden object scene where the interactions of items is the key to moving forward. Other than that it's your typical run of the mill Artifex Mundi hidden object adventure game with a forgettable storyline as well as below bar voice overs. However, it still offers some decent graphics for the genre and some entertainment along the way.

I did find this game a bit more difficult than most of the hidden object games and a bit darker in the colors used in the graphics. This did not take away from enjoying the game though. There are also some swordfighting scenes which were new. In these scenes you must figure out how to draw all the lines in the polygon with vertices given. You can hit the same vertices many times, but you can't draw the line between them more than once. At first it was a bit difficult to figure it out and I had to try multiple times, but by the end of the game, even the most complex of these puzzles were easy to figure out. It is always nice to see something somewhat new in this genre.

lovely graphics, games are challenging, but not too taxing. Good plot.

I liked the game but very light and short. Nothing hangs and does not slow down, which is nice. There is a bonus chapter. The puzzles are varied.

Good game, fun to play. My only issue is it was sometimes hard to see the smaller things in the mini games
