The peace in the White Kingdom is marred by the appearance of the mysterious Black Knight. His identity and intentions are unknown, but when he kidnaps your only son Nevin, you follow him in pursuit. As Gillian, explore two worlds and use the Magic Scrolls to discover the truth about a forgotten royal lineage.

Long ago, the twin kingdoms destroyed each other in war. The White Kingdom was rebuilt with magic, but the Black Kingdom is still cursed — dark clouds envelop the sky, and dangerous vines destroy fields and houses. The noble Queen Mariette in the White Castle looks after her own subjects, but also supports the suffering inhabitants of the dark land. During your dangerous journey you will meet the inhabitants of both the White and Black Kingdoms. It won't be immediately clear who is really trustworthy. The boundaries between good and evil, magic and technology, and black and white will begin to blur, and the fate of the two kingdoms — and your son's life — will be in your hands. Will you work with the most unexpected allies? Will you in the Chronicles of Magic: Divided Kingdoms game stop the evil and solve the mystery of the royal blood?

  • Follow the trail of the Black Knight to regain your treasure!
  • Search for Magic Scrolls among Hidden Objects!
  • Befriend many interesting and quirky characters!
  • Explore the history of the Black and White Kingdoms!
  • Help the royal heiress undo the curse!

Gillian's son was kidnapped and you must help her find him and save him. In doing so she finds out about her true past and gets involved in a rivalry between the White and Black kingdoms. I wish I was making up the names, but those are the names. By far for some reason it bothered me, but didn't make the game less enjoyable or more enjoyable. Either way, the storyline is forgettable because this is a true Artifex Mundi hidden object adventure game with a mixture of hidden object scenes and puzzles through out the entire game.

I found the hidden object scenes did a really good job of good graphics and enough objects strewn out in the picture that it wasn't always easy to find everything quickly. The puzzles were mostly rehashes of past puzzles, but still made the game enjoyable and no a burden or too complex to move forward.

I did find the graphics as a whole were really nice. Maybe it's because it's the latest game that I've played that only came out a year ago, or maybe it's just this developer that pushed their normal limits. I don't know. Either way, enjoyable game, easy achievements, and on par if you're used to playing these types of games.

The writing is terrible, it seems to have been badly translated, and the rationale for in-game events is so bad you'll be left going "what?", "why?" and "did that really happen?" every time some plot point happens. There's only so far suspension of disbelief can take you, and this is far beyond it. Having played this game I no longer feel it appropriate to suggest Artifex Mundi to anyone. Maybe try something by FIVE-BN GAMES instead.

I didn't like the storyline, would have much preferred if the magic prevailed. A fantasy realm where all the magic is gone - so boring. Couldn't care less about rescuing that whiny brat either. The game itself is very short and there is no bonus chapter. Also didn't like those boring HOG's.
