Mystery Coast, the seventh part of the game about adventures of twins Hika-Ri and Kao-Ri, the children of the Tapatuan leader, will be an excellent gift to all the fans of the Moai series!

No one could have imagined that the annual ritual of honoring the ancestral spirits at the Moai stone statue would threaten to destroy the entire island of Tapa Tui! But this is exactly what happened when a pirate ship with black sails moored to the shore, and the pirates captured Kao-Ri. The leader of pirates wants the young priestess to take them to a mysterious cave, where a big gemstone is hidden. So Hika-Ri and his father set off in pursuit of the pirates in order to rescue Kao-Ri.

As you journey through vibrant game worlds and encounter beautifully animated characters, you will race to repair the devastation the pirates left behind, overcome massive obstacles and produce vital resources. Clever use of several valuable bonuses will ensure your success and allow you to earn a wall of jaw-dropping achievements!

Moai 7: Mystery Coast is casual game from 2019. The beautiful Kao-Ri is captured by the pirates, and the young Hika-Ri embarks on a dangerous journey of adventure to save her sister and the island of Tapa Tui from a terrible threat.

Complete 60 unique levels full of amazing landscapes, challenging obstacles and rare artifacts. Help the chief's son to master and apply the pirates' knowledge. Build, repair and destroy buildings, clear roads, collect resources and ingredients, cut palm trees, go fishing, trade with merchants and even with pirates. Drive away enemies, solve puzzles, make offerings to spirits, save workers from pirates, do all sorts of tasks and fight against an unknown dark force.

You have to collect a lot, overcome blockages, swap and trade, fight ghosts, build or repair buildings and have a lot of fun. There is also an interesting story. A very balanced resource management. Interestingly made and designed gameplay. Really well done, especially the balanced level of difficulty. Currently the 7th part of the Moai series with slightly changed gameplay and some innovations. Excellent game for in between.

7th game in the MOAI serie. As the previous 6, it's a time management game (i.e perform a serie of actions in a given time to reach a predetermined goal).

For those who don't know anything about the serie, it's a good enough time management game. It works without issue (on Win7 64bit at least), the game is responsive, there are in-game achievements, etc.

For those who are familiar with the serie, well, it's another story. What's obvious right at the beginning is the change in the levels' design. Obviously, a new team handled it. I finished 58 of the 60 levels with gold time on first try. That is clearly a sign something's different. Several levels could be finished in less than half the allotted time (!) on first try! Another change is that there's no more mana temple - only MOAI statues to get mana. Now for what I believe is the strangest part : the pirates (island invaders) can freely wander by and ask for ransom on any exploited land (farm, mine, etc.) What's strange is that you can't interact at all while he walks to said land. You could zap out the ghosts that randomly came and attacked your constructions in previous entries in the serie. No such luck here, which is VERY frustrating.

There's no bonus levels (the star ones that triggered on the map when all, on its way, were beaten with gold status). Also no bonus level in the menu once you've beaten all the "standard" levels. Some achievements imply to replay many times already beaten levels - I gave up once everything was with gold status.

I think this game is not as good as the previous games in the serie, however it still is enjoyable. It took me 8 hours to make it through with several in-game achievements still open.

A fun mobile style game. The city rebuilding concept is cool and different to most I've seen out there. If you like mobile style games, then this right for you.
