Running Sheep

Like other reviewers, I was excited for a game similar to Sheep's Quest, but then disappointed that this one was so much harder to play. That being said... I thought it was fun! It definitely required some deep thought. There are timers, lasers, robots, and eventually a giant cube creature that I just couldn't get past no matter how hard I tried. I was able to play the first 20 levels with 3 stars after I developed a strategy. With the lasers, it's all in the timing. With the robots, you just have to block them in a corner. Unfortunately, as I said, there was this giant laser cube chasing me that I just couldn't get past. I'm kind of bummed I'll never know what the last 20 levels were like.

I really wanted to like this game, as it appears to be a sequel to "Sheep's Quest", a game I really enjoyed. Although the graphics are good, there simply isn't enough time to adequately figure out the puzzles and direct the sheep where they need to go. In addition to the VERY short amount of time you have on each level, you can only have five directional arrows on the board at once. If you want to place a sixth, you have pick one of the others up first. The combination of these two things makes what could have been a fun arcade puzzler an exercise in frustration and dead sheep. Not a buy for me.

As my title implies this game is just plain bad. The visual is probably the best part of the game but other than that there isn't much else to say about it. Took a minute for me to figure out how to play it. When you first start they tell you how to play but the window that pops up giving you instruction quickly disappears. (most games let you read at your leisure). After the first few levels the 1 min. they give you to complete the puzzle isn't enough time (they also want you to collect other stuff you just don't have the time to collect). The arrows you use to direct the sheep are also limited so you have to pick up the ones you no longer need before the sheep run off into space.
