In the absence of a mortally ill king, the Grand Vizier Zaved rules the kingdom with an iron fist, while a mysterious plague casts a dark shadow on the people of Persia. The young apothecary Tara decides do conduct her own investigation and discover the cause of the illnes before it's too late.

Ominous clouds are gathering over Persia. The good natured king Badiya is mortally ill and the demonic Grand Vizier Zaved holds his subjects in an iron grip, bringing the country to the edge of ruin. To make matters worse, a shadowy disease has appeared out of nowhere, spreading across the land. A young and talented apothecary Tara decides to find the cause of this plague and prevent it from spreading further.

A quest full of puzzles and challenges awaits, one that will lead her to the far reaches of kingdom and even beyond it. Luckily for her, Tara won't be alone in this endeavour. She will be assisted by a mysterious acrobat and swordsman Darius, as well as goofy but kind-hearted geenie Minu. Will the 3 daredevils succeed in finding the source of an ancient evil and stop the impending doom? Join the quest and lead Tara to victory.

To add to the worries, a shadowy plague has appeared out of nowhere. The young and talented pharmacist Tara decides to investigate the plague and prevent it from spreading any further. A difficult task full of puzzles and challenges awaits you. Travel to the far reaches of the kingdom and even beyond. Luckily for Tara, she's not alone - she's joined by a mysterious acrobat and swordsman named Darius and a kind-hearted Djinn named Minu. Will the three manage to find the source of the ancient evil and prevent further misfortune? Join Tara and lead her to success! (Developer)

So much for the content of the adventure. As usual, it's crowded here, but mainly it's about searching. Very well done. Mostly not too heavy. The story is well told too. There are two characters that you keep changing to progress. There is in-game help for everything. A good adventure awaits you. Not just for fans. Magic and alchemy takes you further in the game and frequent players already know the system. I recommend it to anyone.

Another AM yes with caveats that you must avow all immunity to the horrible voice acting (maybe play it on mute) and lack of character charisma (none, really... none!). It's a shame because the background art is very nice and the HOP / mini games element are a lot of fun. For 3 hours of gaming, even paying $3 is iffy. Why... WHY did they spoil it by destroying the fantasy illusion with character names that aren't remotely Irani or Persian who all speak California English? It says the release date happened in 2017, but the ethnic sensitivity feels more like 1957... and I usually don't even care about that stuff. Play according to your cultural tolerance.

Persian Nights: Sands of Wonders is one of the very best hidden object games I have played in a long time. This is a modern, cinematic HOG with excellent production values, a solid story, and very good voice acting. I would actually categorize this more as a point-and-click adventure game, since the emphasis is on story and puzzle solving, rather than traditional hidden object scenes (there are only a few of those in the entire game). It is also quite short, just over three hours for me, but I would rather have three good hours than ten mediocre hours. This would be a great introduction to the genre for someone who has never played a HOG before.
