The main character of the game, a world-famous psychiatrist, is invited to investigate a mysterious case of impaired judgement. However, the case she has to deal with is much more complicated! A young girl is obsessed with nightmares after an accidental fire in an abandoned medieval tower, and day by day her state is getting worse. Her mother, the mayor of a small town, is worried sick about her daughter's health, but something in her behavior causes suspicion...

The method applied by a psychiatrist in the course of treatment is to use her paranormal abilities to get the exact access to the subconscious mind of patients and find the causes of illnesses. You will have to go to the other side of reality, where the world looks quite different than you may be used to... And the battles with monsters (feeding on our fears and despair) as well as images generating by our brain will be the most horrible ordeal you have ever experienced!

Hidden Object Game from 2018.

Head to Schlummertal, a small, remote tourist town in the Austrian Alps. A place that is teeming with people in summer and seems rather deserted in winter. But this ordinary and sometimes depressing little town hides a secret. The residents of Schlummertal suffer from extreme sleep disorders and intense nightmares.

The local doctors are perplexed by the phenomenon. When the mayor's young daughter, Sandra, falls into a deep coma, the desperate mother seeks the help of a special psychiatrist. She is said to have the ability to enter other people's subconscious - she is a so-called "dreamwalker".

Take on the role of the supernatural psychiatrist and immerse yourself in the mysterious world of Schlummertal. Enter the subconscious of your patients, become a detective of the human psyche, separate truth from fiction and solve the mystery surrounding the inexplicable condition of the mayor's daughter and the other citizens. Dark secrets lurk in the depths of the human mind, will you dare to search for them?

The maps are clear and concise, but not necessarily understandable; this also applies to the story.
The game is a detective game in terms of content and structure.
Which they did well. There are mini-games and hidden object pictures, both of which are more for advanced players in terms of difficulty.
Help and skipping are available and I used them too.
A search game that I really liked.

I mean, it's functional, which is more than other games like this I've played. But as far as gameplay, it's just not my thing. The sound design can be really obnoxious (there's a room right at the beginning of the game where no matter what you do you have to listen to basically a 10-second loop of terrible crying noises, and the voice acting is very hit and miss), the gameplay is perfunctory at times (you have to get into character's minds by turning off distractions around them, which amounts to closing a window and turning off a computer tablet. not sure why you couldn't stick the tablet in a drawer or something), the maps aren't terribly interesting and you can only see two or maybe three of them at a time, and the story doesn't so much happen as the main character tells us that it's happened and we have to just go along with it.

Overall I really enjoyed this game. The artwork is great, and the music is as well. The storyline was enough to keep my interest and the puzzles and hidden object scenes were just challenging enough. I don't really have any complaints. I plan to play through a second time to get the rest of the achievements.

In this AM hidden object game, you are a psychiatrist that can enter people's dreams and mind. A young girl is in a coma and no one is able to understand why or get her out, so you've been hired to figure out how to wake her. Typical game for the genre, not too heavy on the story, heavy on hidden object scenes that are nicely populated, and decent puzzles, though not difficult at all in this iteration. Definitely worth playing, as the storyline does take you on strange loops as you enter people's minds. Decent voice overs, decent graphics, and a decent level of entertainment and highly available for achievement hunters as well.

Short but very enjoyable and thematic Puzzler ~ Sometimes dark, sometimes a bit disturbing in just the right amount and overall has very fitting and immersive scenerys . In my playtime I've only experienced a single issue which was solveable by skipping the minigame, but I didn't miss out on much. For people that have a Knack for these kind of games and those that like to be immersed for a couple hours I can really suggest to give it a try.

Great potential in the beginning, but fell flat towards the end. The HOAs were fairly easy and there was a couple of objectives that didn't really seem to have a point other than to extend play time. Also, there was no background or development of the nightmare creature, I would have liked to delve into the mythology of it a bit instead of merely investigating the mayor which moved you toward a cliched and rushed ending.

This is the worst Artifex Mundi game ive ever played and all the other games i have given 5 stars. Hard to understand all the electrical knowledge needed to play game.
