Myth Seekers agent falls into coma on the excavation site on the coast of Brittany. Amelia, one of the most skilled Seekers is called to help with the mystery involving strange artifact found at the dig site, only to uncover, that the ancient powers from a sunken city are already awaken.

As an agent of Myth Seekers you are called to Paris to find out that the agency members are acting strange. You quickly realize, that it might have something to do with a mysterious artifact found near a plausible location of Ys, mythical city swallowed by the ocean.

Search the alleys of Paris to find echoes of the legendary cataclysm that wiped out an ancient civilisation from the surface of Earth and make sure the ancient forces responsible for this tragedy will remain dormant. And be warned, the legend also says that when Ys rises up from beneath the waves, Paris will be swallowed up in its place.

There is a shadow hanging over modern-day Paris and the time is running out...

Solid game! Much like the first one, the visuals and gameplay are very polished while the story is forgettable and the voice acting is meh. The one frustration I had was with the achievements, specifically the one that read "Finish Hidden Object Puzzles in 45 seconds or less." If you noticed the plural and are wondering exactly how many HOPs need to be done in 45 seconds, me too!! Plus none were really feasible to do in that amount of time in one go, in my opinion. But oh well, unless you're an achievement completionist it doesn't matter that much.

Typical HOG from Sunward. I'm slowly starting to play those games again after some time with AAA games, and it's still fun for me. I want to point out that the story didn't make any sense to me, I probably didn't pay enough attention at the beginning, but in the end it was only about beating a bad gal and saving the world, sorry, Paris from being flooded or something. Doesn't really change any stakes for me, since while I live in Paris, I happen to be at the top of one of its hills, so I'm not too concerned about it. Also, I heard it's just a game. You guys are mean, I was close to being scared for a second.

Anyway, jokes aside, Myth Seekers 2 has my favorite HOG soundtrack in years. I don't know why, but they went for an ambient/synth style that I totally dig, as opposed to the usual blanc cinematographic music they usually put into these games. I certainly hope the music wasn't stolen from elsewhere. Last time I loved a HOG soundtrack, it was because it was directly ripped off from The Witcher 3 (Queen's Quest 2 from Brave Giant, if I'm not mistaken).

It's not terrible, but not as good as the first one in this series. Generic, bare bones story. Gameplay was pretty fun, but it was too short.

I really enjoyed playing. Great storyline and beautiful graphics. Sometimes it's nice to play a game without concerning yourself with too many things to hunt for. Finding the masks was the perfect amount for this game.
